25 things I'd like to do before its too late

Each person has his/her own wishlist and to-do lists. But mostly it comprises of  'Buy a black sling bag' or 'Get gift for cousin's birthday'. At least in my Any.Do list! Nothing fascinating. Nothing remarkable. Nothing we actually wish, to do!  But then, I came across this concept of jotting down the strange/weird/fun/crazy/beautiful things to do, before its too late. Its indeed fun and fascinating to sit and think of what all you would do, if given a chance - anything, anywhere.  I comprised a list my top 25 now. Some are possible, some are dreamy - but who am I to judge, you never know what could happen! ;)

1. Visit Paris
2. Give a presentation or a speech in front of a hundred people
3. Own a cat
4. Buy my own car and drive with style. (Not the usual 'Watch out! A lady is driving!' type. )
5. Have a patio in my house
6. Drive in the rain
7. Become really good at drawing again ( I lost it with time)
8. Learn to cook.
9. Build my house
10. Learn to speak Hindi
11. Go on a vacation to Mauritius
12. Visit Disney Land once in my life
13. Quit using mobile phone for a week (Alright , no duhs! )
14. Become a writer ;) (At least consistent with my blog)
15. Sing in public
16. Attend a live concert
17. Take a picture with A.R.Rahman
18. Become a pro at any one sport
19. Enjoy Gardening
20. Live abroad
21. Be a bridesmaid
22. Gain 10 kg (Yes, That is almost impossible for me :D )
23. Visit the beautiful Taj Mahal again in a pristine white dress ;)
24. Learn swimming
25. Learn to put Mehendhi. (The beautiful bridal ones, not round dots :P  )

That is it for me, as of now. Some may happen, some might fade with time. But at some stage of my life, these were what I wanted.

And that will never change. :)

Mariyaan : Truly the Prince of Ocean

I came to know something. Vande Mataram fame Bharat Bala is directing his next film. Hmm. :/ Marc, a Belgian Cinematographer is involved. Okay :O Dhanush, who is flying HIGH in Kollywood after movies like 'Mayakkam Enna'  and  '3', ' is the lead. Huh?! :O It doesn't end there;  A.R.Rahman will be scoring the music. Wth! :O :O  Sounds BIG, right? No wonder it is. ;)

Today is the movie release, all over India and many screens Worldwide too. I went along with my friend to watch the movie very excitedly at the Escape Cinemas, EA, Chennai.

The movie started with a too-sweet romantic conversation, that makes you blush ( ;) ) between Mariyaan (Dhanush) and Panimalar (Parvathy) who are apart for 2 years, as Dhanush works at Sudan in Africa and Pani lives in a fishing village in Tamil Nadu. When there is only one week left to complete the contact, Mariyaan is all happy and excited to reunite with his love, and the Ocean that has been everything to him, all his life. Then, when we were least expecting it,  (actually we were, we know the movie's abut Dhanush's struggle in Africa! ;) Still..) Dhanush and two of his workmates are held at gunpoint by African terrorists who demand money from the company that handles them.  From then on, the story becomes intense. What are the cruelties and tortures that Mariyaan faces? Whom he looses in the process? How he manages to survive it ? And will his love act as a catalyst to make him take that extra mile and reach his Panimalar, is the rest of the story.

In short, it was one heck of a movie.!! :) ;)  The scenes when Dhanush and Jagan "imagine" enjoying a sea-food meal , the Kadal Rasa song with so much of pain and tragic in his face, when he successfully fooled the Africans and made that one call to Panimalar... It was all breath-takingly beautiful.  We all could experience Mariyaan's pain and his struggle to reach his love. Kudos to Dhanush.

Bharat Bala. The man behind it all. In a sea of films with sad endings and pathetic story with ill-fitting logic, Mariyaan stands tall and washes away everything in a clean sweep!

Marc, spectacular cinematography. In the first half , you could easily feel the seashore with his crystal clear shots of the ocean, the lush greenery, and the sparkle in Parvathy's eyes.:) ;)  The second half , dry and deserted, you could feel the frustration and heat  too. Stunning work,Marc.

I don't even want to comment on the music. ;) A.R.R does what he knows. He does it BEST!  Brilliant BGM and Songs.!!

Just keep in mind, Mariyaan is not a movie to watch. . Its a life-story. Feel it. Relish it.

A tribute to the Mega Mind : Orkut

If you are born in the 90's ,I'm sure you would agree with me that, this was the BEST Era of your life, so far ;) Orkut.  The world of Orkut was so appealing and  was a rage. I was among the first few who joined the mega-social-network, and never regretted or missed showing off ! :D It was a pakka fun period of my life and I enjoyed talking to zillions of unknowns , carefully not mentioning my school name :P thinking they would trace me and catch me ! :P , and updating the most coolest Display Pictures and Captions! :D

Orkut

Do Skills fade away with Time . .

Okay. So after staring the blank screen for so long, I've come up with a conclusion : To reduce the blink rate of my cursor. Its just plain annoying when am trying to think of something to write and this tiny line, blinks it away! :-/  Well, coming back to what am I up to.  

The day has come. The most fretted day. The day I start hating my Computer. I don't enjoy turning it on the first thing in the morning anymore. Its not a shock though. I started staying offline to avoid chats for a long time ; I stopped updating statuses, I don't fret about the Likes & Comments, and I knew it was over. Its not that don't want to talk to a particular person or I'm avoiding someone. People get me wrong. :-(  I lost interest, and it just doesn't impress me anymore.This silver piece of junk has swallowed so many days of my life, made me wear a Titan eye+ - which I don't wear - so the power should have deteriorated further, made me abandon my quality time with mom watching TV shows together, miss so many India matches, and now has gifted me with a permanent headache which mom suspects to be a Migraine. Its Enough.! 

Summer 2013

Heyy! I disappeared as usual. Almost abandoning my baby blog - AGAIN! but nope, not happening (not yet  though !) The last time I updated, I was anxiously waiting to go on that vacation to Hyderabad and Nilgris . And so did I. I've already been to both the places. But the thing is ..my family is not very daring. I mean, we've been to Hyderabad, Delhi , Kolkatta , Bangalore, Kerala.. I mean everywhere on the India map , but we keenly look for "Authentic South Indian Restaurants" ! I mean, who does that !? One of my acquaintance at college encouraged me to try THAT place's specialty when am there. "Be a Roman, while you're in Rome" right? And I did that this time !

Bliss of e-Cart

Shopping is always so much fun , whether it is cautiously on budget or just a random haul. But this time, it was for a pretty much convincing reason - Vacation! Who goes on a Vacation without shopping? o_O

I have already got my share of color denims - Red and Purple. Its been the rage this season! And some tops from Lifestyle and Marks & Spencer. I searched for a perfect handbag that is more trendier than the endless totes i already own. I want a classy one, in a striking color for the season. After checking ALL - note .. ALL the bag stores in EA, the model I wanted wasn't available. If it was , it was in a boring Brown/Black. Thats when my online-shopping came to the rescue.Here it is :

Caprese Gloria Satchel , White Shirt Dress , Inc 5 Sandals

Its Caprese Gloria Satchel in Blue. Caprese is in a tie-up with VIP bags. I wanted either Red or Blue. I saw the same in EA Lifestyle.. But in Black! So I found this and was an all happy person! ^_^ I ordered it from Flipkart. Then a White Shirt Dress from shopnineteen that I'd wear with my Red Denim. Then the Sandals that I was eyeing for a longg time ; from Inc.5 

Waiting and impatient already !! ^_^

Hello ! What do you do?

After the Project Work got over, it was SUCH a relief. Cause me and my team-mates..well, that's a different story! :/ I just hated the pressure , the panic, the rejections, modifications etc. Not once. Again and again and again !! So that is done, and then the Semesters followed. My last Semester exam on the road to completing my Degree. It went by well , I can say. :P Cause now that the results are out, and I achieved what I aimed for ,and what my mom expected from me. :) 

Now, the biggest nightmare that I face even on day time is : WHAT DO I DO. The Date of Joining will be issued only after 3-5 months. What do people generally do to keep themselves occupied? Worthwhile stuffs, I mean! Cause I'm literally switching between 

Iron-Man | Gossip Girl | Vampire Diaries | Nora Roberts | Nicholas Sparks | Hunger Games

And I'm literally wasting all my daddy's money in eyeliners and lipsticks :( Lipsticks! Yeah ! Forgot to mention that I got my FIRST EVER LIPSTICK in my life, only YESTERDAY :| How bad is that ? :/ :P

Much hyped: Placements

Well .. Technically, its been ages since I blogged. I do this all the time - abandoning blogs. So its a no-big-deal. But a LOT has happened between this post and this. I myself cant believe that I was lethargic enough to swallow a full semester between two blog posts! Or maybe I was too much involved in my own miseries such as  Placements, Projects and Documentation.

So this whole semester dint go by the blink of an eye at all . It was such a struggle. In the end of my 7th sem.. we had the Placements coming. So it was too hectic. Everyone wanted to get placed in a good core company that are in the top-order. And I was no exception. After my horrid twelfth grade performance, I was a huge let-down. My parents expected too much out of me due to the shining grade 10 score! So I had it in me to perform exceptionally well in Engeering. But I dint work hard enough for my CATs. Not hard-enough in the sense, I wanted to be one of the toppers. But I lost interest although I knew I had it me to perform better. Duh, happens you know? Shitty people around , and stuff. -_-  So coming back to placements..it meant more to me. I HAD to get placed in a star company, I thought.

I dint prepare apps as much as others did. I was just okay. But whatever the little I knew , I knew it damn well. I never did the company's APPS ROUND by inky-pinky-ponky methods. I worked out. I cleared the APPS of iNautix, CTS, Wipro. iNautix was a bummer. I told the HR that I don't like programming *facepalm* -_- :P So I gave Wipro and CTS my all. Wipro came next. The Technical HR was sweet (pun intended ). I remember still , I was waiting for nearly 15mins in front of the HR's cabin. My name wasnt called yet. The timing worked perfectly as I plopped an Eclair into mouth :O :P I attended and answered the entire session with the Eclairs melting in my cheeks :D  *Sweet moments* :P Then I was called to the main HR around. Only very were called. It was a confirmation on the spot if you're called there. It was a general chit-chat, and I came out with a great confident boost when the HR said , "See you next year at Wipro campus ;) "

And then it was CTS after a couple of days. I went on with a positive spirit and did well. My session lasted 55mins, where others had for approx 15 !! It was Fun, though. I was the one of fortunate/unfortunate ones who were called in for the double-HR-table. They were very sweet, appreciated my grammar, offered me coffee :P , even went out of the room for 5mins to help me calm my nerves!! :O :P And thats how I aced CTS. My dream company :) Now am a Happy person altogether ! *touchwood*

Ah, well ! As i expected I almost abandoned my baby blog all these days !! Cant take all the blame this time though. :/ My university sucks my blood out. Yeah, we're in Final Year now. And ya ya ofcourse, we're the first batch of the University-version of my college.! With the 

" BIGGER ! BETTER !! BRIGHTER !!! "

tag. That doesn't mean they could just squeeze the dear life out of us, is it? 
But yet, cant blame them completely. They need to sustain the name that the Affiliated-version earned them.
